The New England Patriots captured their fourth straight AFC East title by defeating the Jacksonville Jaguars 24-21 in Jacksonville. A win in Miami on Monday night and a win the following Sunday against the woeful Oakland Raiders will send the Jets into the playoffs.
Expectations have heightened in the last few weeks. A dream at the beginning of the season has now become an attainable goal. It will be interesting to see how Mangini and the Jets respond. Will they wilt under the pressure of expectation or will they seize the opportunity?
