Well, that's all settled.
The New York Jets found their third-string quarterback today, signing former Oakland Raiders QB Marques Tuiasosopo to a one-year deal. Not exactly ground-breaking news, especially since Tuiasosopo doesn't come close to being the experienced, veteran QB the Jets were seemingly looking for. Tuiasosopo has started two, yes, that's 2 career games, and one of them was in 2005 against a bad Jets team where he certainly didn't impress.
But, the free agent QB market is terrible. Also, if Tuiasosopo has to hit the field in an extended role in 2007 I will go out on a limb and say the Jets season would be over.
So welcome aboard Marques Tuiasosopo. You have joined the ranks of Nuu Faaola in Jets lore as the best names to pronounce.
