Good thing Justin Miller isn't playing for the Yankees.

Miller was arrested and charged with third-degree assault after striking a woman in a nightclub early Sunday morning. According to the report, Miller took a swing at a man, but the man ducked and Miller ended up punching a woman.  Miller was apprehended after a police chase at 4:20 a.m.  Miller has issued an apology and the Jets have notified the commissioner's office as per the NFL's new policy.  

So far, the policy doesn't seem like it's keeping players from getting into trouble; at least in Cincinnati.

When I first heard the report, I was ready to bury Miller.  Nothing is worse than hitting a woman.  To me, it's worse than a D.U.I. which I also have zero tolerance for.  But, this seems like just bad luck and lousy aim. 

Hopefully, the league won't come down too hard on him, but Miller should heed this bit of advice:

Keep your hitting on the football field from now on.
