It's he said, she said -- NFL style.

The latest installment of the cold war between the two AFC East rivals reveals that the
Jets videotaped the Patriots during their first-round playoff game in Foxborough earlier this year. Gang Green asked and received permission from New England to record the game in January from behind both end zones (which, according to reports, is common), but then the Pats changed their minds during the contest and told the Jets to stop.
Coach Eric Mangini maintains that the Jets did nothing wrong and that it's something the team does during every road game. Mangini also stated that the Green and White weren't taping the Patriots' defensive signals.
Is anyone else just sick to death of this story?
I'm not sure who leaked this latest tale (I'm looking at you Bill), but this is like comparing apples to oranges. I don't want to get into this whole "ratting out" thing again, but if what the Patriots did wasn't illegal, then the NFL wouldn't have stripped the Pats of a first round pick or dished out heavy fines to the team and Belichick.
Anyway, don't look for the Jets to bring their recording equipment to Gillette Stadium on Sunday. Here's what Mangini had to say:
"Just didn't look to get permission. Didn't think it would be granted."
No kidding.
