The good times never last.
David Harris, who missed last week's game against the Buffalo Bills, underwent groin surgery Wednesday and will be lost for at least two to three weeks.
Of course, Eric Mangini and the Jets haven't released this important piece of information. Gang Green treats injuries as if they were an issue of national security. This report is coming from a person who is familiar with the injury, but isn't authorized to speak for Harris or the Jets.

Who are you, mysterious person?
In any event, this is a big blow to the Jet defense. David Bowens filled in admirably in Buffalo (five tackles and a sack), but Harris was the team's leading tackler with 52 and helped spearhead the resurgent Jets D, which is ranked 13th in total defense and fourth against the run this season.
And I'm not a doctor (I know. You're shocked), but groin surgery doesn't sound like a quick, in-and-out procedure. I would expect Harris to miss more than the three weeks, but again, I'm not a doctor.
Godspeed, David.
